Nurnberg are desperate not to lose Japan midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake.
The Express & Star says Nurnberg are expected to reject a £10 million bid from Aston Villa for Kiyotake.
Some reports say Villa have already had an £8.5 million bid rejected and so are preparing an improved offer, although it is thought that Nurnberg will resist any move for until after next year's World Cup.
