Nuri Sahin is confident Liverpool can finish in the top four this season.

The German-born Turkish playmaker is determined to lead the Reds into next season's Champions League.

Sahin said: "There are definitely similarities with Dortmund.

"In the first season with Klopp we were sixth, the next we were fifth and then we became champions.

"Brendan is a bit like Klopp in how he thinks about football, and Dortmund and Liverpool are similar.

"The people are crazy about the clubs, the stadiums are fantastic and the way they try to play with a high tempo and high-level passing is similar. That made my decision easier.

"Here, people will honour everything you do, so it's a big challenge. Brendan will bring his views about football to Liverpool and there will be only one way - up."
