Portuguese hero Nuno Gomes believes PSG are committing an error allowing Goncalo Guedes to leave.

On-loan with Valencia, Guedes is on the brink of signing permanently for Los Che over a deal worth €35m.

Gomes told France Football: "Does Guedes have the level for PSG? Yes, and I think he is demonstrating it.

"Gonçalo may not have arrived at Paris-SG at the best time for him. For a young person like him, it was difficult to arrive and win a start.

"He does it very well in Valencia. I do not know if he will come back to Paris-SG, but if he does, he will be more experienced and much stronger than when he arrived."
