Number one target for West Brom boss Hodgson is survival

West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson is targeting an historic third successive season in the Premier League for the Baggies. Despite losing to Manchester United on Sunday they remain 13 points clear of the drop zone with 10 games remaining.

"The first thing is to get to 40 points," he said.

"We have said all along that we have not had three successive seasons in the Premier League since it began.

"It would be something worth cheering about, so let's make certain we have done that first before we start trying to come out of the crawl into a fast walk.

"Once we are there, then we will definitely start walking towards the highest position we can get.

"Who knows we might even break into a jog at some stage."
