Derby County boss Billy Davies has Portsmouth striker David Nugent top of his January shopping list.

He was in the race to sign Nugent during the summer but could not afford the £6million fee Portsmouth ended up paying.

Davies said: "We need six new players and the instruction to my staff is to go out and find them."
