Portsmouth striker David Nugent is refusing to commit one way or the other to staying with the Championship outfit but has revealed a decision will be made by the end of the month. The former Preston striker's current deal at Fratton Park is set to expire in the coming weeks, with talks over a new one on hold.
"I want to go away on holiday, relax and know I've got a club," Nugent told The News. "So hopefully it will be sorted out by the beginning of June.
"I don't want it to drag on, not a chance. I hope to get it sorted as soon as possible so I can enjoy my holidays.
"I told the gaffer I'd be in touch with him and tell him what's going on but I don't know what's going on yet.
"I've played a lot of games this season - the first season I've played a lot of games really - so I just want a break, have a think about it and come to a decision."
