David Nugent is determined to be a success at Portsmouth as a tribute to the fans.

The goal-shy striker said: "The fans have been amazing to me so far. They gave me a good reception when I came on, but I really want to start repaying them now.

"The club have paid a big fee for me and I need to prove to people that I am worth all that money. I've been here a few months now, I'm starting to settle in and the lads have also been different class to me."
