New Zealand international Jeremy Brockie seems to be timing his run in the North Queensland Fury team perfectly in the build up for World Cup selection.
Brockie, who missed the major part of the season due to injury and lack of game time, was a key player in the Fury's win against Perth Glory last Friday in Townsville.
The 22-year old showed his versatility by playing out wide rather than his usual striking role. With the All Whites having booked their place in South Africa it now remains to be seen whether Brockie has enough games left in the A-League season with the Fury to impress Ricki Herbert (New Zealand head coach).
Brockie will be hopeful that Fury can make the play offs and therefore give himself more games and exposure to show Herbert that he deserves a spot on the plane to South Africa.
