Now-or-never for Baros at Portsmouth

Milan Baros is set to be given another chance to prove he has a Portsmouth future at Middlesbrough this weekend.

The Czech Republic striker has failed to find the net in 13 appearances for Pompey since his January loan move from Lyon.

But with Pompey boss Harry Redknapp likely to rest Kanu with one eye on the FA Cup final, Baros looks set to be handed a role alongside Jermain Defoe at the Riverside Stadium.

With Pompey having first option to sign Baros on a permanent deal at the end of the season, Redknapp, however, has not yet made a decision.

Redknapp said: "I like Milan. We'll just have to wait until the summer to see what he wants to do.

"There's every chance he'll play on Saturday.

"He's a good trainer, a good lad and a good professional.

"He's a clever player.

"He's played at the top level and he'll be playing in the European Championships in the summer for the Czech Republic."
