Novara coach Tesser admits Roma just too classy

Novara coach Attilio Tesser admits AS Roma were too classy for last night's 2-0 defeat.

They were holding the Giallorossi to a goalless draw until Bojan Krkic came off the bench to score with a well-taken volley, then Pablo Daniel Osvaldo got a second.

"What happened is that Roma's talents made the difference in breaking the deadlock," said Tesser.

"It's a shame, because when it was goalless we had the best chance to take the lead and if we had scored then maybe it would've been a very different game. We had two great opportunities, then they scored twice in quick succession.

"Novara had the better of the opening 25 minutes, then the game evened out. We had two good counter-attacks, but not making the most of Riccardo Meggiorini's chance proved crucial. Of course, Maarten Stekelenburg performed a great save.

"It's true we have conceded 19 goals this season and that's too many to achieve positive results. I am aware you need a solid defence to avoid relegation, but we also score many goals.

"Over the past two years in Serie C and B we had a very attacking style that is difficult to change."
