Gambia international striker Njogu Demba-Nyren is set to join Paul Ince at Notts County on a short term deal until the end of the season. The 31-year-old is a free agent after being released by Danish Superliga side OB Odense and has been on trial at Meadow Lane.

Magpies boss Ince told the Nottingham Evening Post: "He has been training with us for three or four weeks now so we have had a good look at him.

"We were a bit unsure at first, but he has got fitter and better. He's a good player, so we might try to do something until the end of the season."
