Notts County sign former EPL striker Akinbiyi

Ambitious League Two outfit Notts County have completed the signing of former Premier League striker Ade Akinbiyi.

The 34-year old, who has had stints with Bristol City, Wolves, Leicester City and Stoke among several other clubs, has signed with the Magpies until the end of the season.

Akinbiyi has most recently been playing with Houston Dynamo in America’s MLS but was signed as a free agent by Notts County football director Sven Goran Eriksson.

The Magpies are currently sitting 7th on the League Two table with a record of five wins, one draw and three losses but have a goal difference of 14 after just nine matches.
