Notts County striker Luke Rodgers is on the verge of making the move to join MLS club New York Red Bulls. The 28-year old is likely to play his last game for the Magpies of England's League Two against Lincoln City on Tuesday with manager Steve Cotterill confirming that a deal is almost certain to eventuate.
"We're in the throes of finalising things," said Cotterill.
"It's not 100 per cent yet. There are a few more details that need to be tied up.
"If it happens he'll still be involved on Tuesday. It will happen after then."
In other NYRB transfer news, sporting director Erik Soler is reportedly trying to sign one of two left-wingers and will return to New York with more news by the end of the week.
