Notts County are ready to OUTBID Premiership clubs to land Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari.

The Mirror says Notts County supremo Sven Goran Eriksson is making a daring late move to sign striker Benjani from his old club Manchester City - in a club record deal.

Benjani could even be offered more wages by County than he could pick up at Hull, Portsmouth or Blackburn Rovers. He is set to make his decision on where to go today.
