Notts County boss Ince still upset over Blackburn treatment

Notts County boss Paul Ince says his failure at Blackburn Rovers still burns.

He believes circumstances conspired against him and is adamant he would have eventually turned things around.

"I hadn't been given any money, we had lost [David] Bentley to Tottenham, Brad Friedel to Villa, Roque [Santa Cruz] and David Dunn got injured, so that was half the team Sparky had," Ince told the Guardian.

"I brought in Keith Andrews for £700,000, and at the same time Everton brought in [Marouane] Fellaini for £15m, so you can see where things were financially and that there were reasons why it didn't work out and why I should have been given more time to prove myself. That disappoints me. It really, really does."
