Notts County boss Paul Ince is being linked with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Mirror says Ince is the man Sheffield Wednesday want to replace under-pressure Alan Irvine.

Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric has publicly backed Irvine, but the Scot will be well aware that Mandaric gave similar backing to Paulo Sousa before sacking him as Leicester manager last September.

Irvine said yesterday: "It is not my decision, it is not something which is within my control.

"I'll wait and see what developments there are, if any."
