Nottingham Forest could be sold next week.

The Sun says a Chinese consortium aiming to take over at the City Ground is confident a £30million deal is close after positive discussions.

They have held talks with London investment bankers Seymour Pierce, who are advising chairman Nigel Doughty, and formally tabled their offer.

Their £30m cash injection will cover the purchase of the loss-making club and a much-needed investment in new players.
