Portland Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson has revealed that the club is after two former MLS players.
Nottingham Forest striker Robbie Findley, formerly of the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake, and Tigres UANL defender Jonathan Bornstein, previously with Chivas USA, have emerged on the Timbers' radar.
Wilkinson recently told MLSsoccer.com's podcast that the club had already spoken to the pair about a potential offseason shift form their current clubs.
"We've been in communication [with the players] ... with that communication there's going to come a day, maybe sooner rather than later for one of them, but, ya know, that a move could happen back to MLS," he said.
Findley joined Forest from RSL in December 2010 and was recebntly loaned out to League Two Gillingham whilst Bornstein departed Chivas for Tigres last year.
Both players were selected by Portland in the 2010 MLS Expansion Draft meaning the club has their rights if they ever want to return to North American's top flight.
