Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce has cooled talk of a potential loan move for Jack Grealish.
It has been reported that the Championship club are after the Aston Villa young gun who has previously spent time with rivals Notts County.
However, Pearce said Grealish was not necessarily a player his club were looking at but did make it clear that Forest would continue their search for an 'impact' player.
"We have asked about one or two players, but it has to be somebody who will come into the team. But one or two of our players took their chance well," he told the Nottingham Post.
"I know (Villa assistant) Roy Keane well, so I am not going to comment on their players at Aston Villa. But I think it is safe to say we will be looking at players of that standard.
"We are looking for somebody who can come into the side and make an impact. I am not saying it is Jack Grealish, but we are looking for players.
"He is a good player, but he is Aston Villa's player."
