Nottingham Forest defender Michael Hefele has mocked Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez after last night's Carabao Cup win.

Hefele blasted Perez for going down under the challenge of goalkeeper Luke Steele late in Newcastle United's 3-1 exit of the Carabao Cup.

“It's a little bit much, six minutes, for what, because we just score once? The celebration was not so much. They didn't have many chances and I'm just very happy for everybody here," the German told Sky Sports.

“Steeley (Luke Steele) had the ball and I think this was a little bit soft from the striker that he goes down. For me it's no penalty, but I'll have to look at it. In my view, it's no penalty."
