Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of winger Stephen McLaughlin.

The Irishman joins Forest from Derry City on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee which has delighted chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi.

"Stephen is an exciting young talent who been attracting attention from a number of other English clubs," he told the club's official website.

"We are delighted he is joining us and look forward to helping him develop his career and fulfilling his great potential."

22-year old McLaughlin kicked off his senior career with Finn Harps in 2009 before heading to Derry in 2011 where he starred prior to his shift to the Championship.
