A move to Liverpool could still be on for Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze.
Gotze this week appeared to end hopes of Liverpool landing the German by declaring he wanted to fight for his place at Bayern.
However, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has told Gotze to have a rethink.
He told Kicker: "This is difficult to predict for me.
"Mario was known to be clear and trustworthy. He knows how the club thinks and he knows how the future coach thinks. I had conversations with him, and (Carlo) Ancelotti. Mario knows the thoughts of FC Bayern. Perhaps he should now just play in the Euros," said Rummenigge.
He added: "Mario now needs to evaluate things for himself: Do I want to play continuously?"
