Former Arsenal striker Paul Merson has warned against a move for Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley.

The on-loan Manchester United midfielder has been linked with the Gunners.

But Merson told Sky Sports: "I don't think he's good enough to play for Arsenal, that's my opinion.

"He wasn't good enough to play for Man United so why is he good enough to play for Arsenal? I see him playing in London next season if I'm being honest. I think that's where he'd rather be."
