Norwich's Pilkington admits family all Blackburn fans

Norwich City winger Anthony Pilkington admits he has mixed emotions facing Blackburn Rovers.

Pilkington could deliver a hammer blow to his entire family and close friends if he strikes in his first competitive game at Blackburn.

He said: "I have to treat this as another game so if I score against Manchester United in the 89th minute I will run off celebrating. They have had all season to stay up so if I score, it will not be my goal that sends them up down.

"Hopefully, they will stay in the League and I will play there next season. I used to go and watch Blackburn when we won the league with Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton up front.

"They were good times for the club. After Saturday I hope they can pick themselves up. I don't want to see them go down but I hope they don't get any points at the weekend. It will be a good day out for all my family. I have asked the Norwich lads for a load of tickets.

"I have asked for as many as possible. I have not even given them a number. I would say 90 per cent of them are all Rovers fans and it will be a good day but I want to do my job as normal."
