Norwich's Jarvis nets on Kilmarnock debut

Norwich City striker Ryan Jarvis celebrated his loan move to Kilmarnock with the winner on debut at Gretna yesterday.

Killie boss Jim Jefferies said: "There are probably three or four times in the season where a game takes on that little bit more significance. In our case it was that we played well in the last two games against Rangers and Aberdeen and didn't get a point that we deserved. So we come here and defeat makes it three on the trot and it can set you back a wee bit.

"Also with losing Naismith and the injuries that we have, it's a huge match for us because you have to win these type of games if you are ambitious to be back in the top six again. So I felt there was a wee bit more pressure on us, and added to that I don't think it will be long before Gretna get their first win because I think they go about it the right way.

"I think they are getting punished for mistakes and we had two good bits of football in the first half that got us two goals. But they had some opportunities, none more so than the penalty which might have changed the whole game.

"But I felt we could have scored more goals in the second half, we had some good chances."
