Dereham Town's teenage hotshot Nathan Howard has been handed trials by Norwich City.

Norfolk-based Dereham, who play in the Ridgeons Football League, have allowed the 17-year-old striker to join up with Paul Lambert's side with a view to a permanent switch.

Dereham boss Rob Parke said: "Our main talisman Nathan Howard is currently on trial at Norwich City. He hasn't been there for very long. He's just been training regularly with the past few weeks so they haven't done anything about them yet.

"From what I'm hearing a lot of teams are interested in him. I can't put a finger on it because no-one has contacted me directly but from what I'm hearing there has been a lot of interest."
