Norwich City are set to launch a winter bid for Everton attacker Steven Naismith.

The Canaries went after the Scotland international in the summer but failed with a £7million bid and he ultimately remained at Goodison Park.

However, Naismith has fallen down the Toffees pecking order this season and could leave Merseyside next month with the lure of regular first team football.

Naismith has made just four Premier League starts this term for a total of 10 league appearances which includes a hat-trick against Chelsea in September but Alex Neil would be able to offer him many more minutes at Carrow Road.

Roberto Martinez said earlier in December that he would assess Naismith's future after a busy Christmas schedule and will make a call in the coming weeks as the Canaries circle once again.
