Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty is delighted with his loan move to Birmingham City.
Lafferty, 28, played a starring role as Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland ended a 30-year wait to reach a major tournament, scoring seven goals in 10 Euro 2016 qualification fixtures.
He has played just 46 minutes of club football this season after falling out of favour at Carrow Road.
"I would have liked a move to have happened before this but that did not come to pass," said Lafferty. "I had my heart set on playing games before the end of the season so I can be right for the finals in France, so when the chance came I jumped at it.
"Birmingham are a massive club with amazing fans who are challenging for promotion so I cannot wait to get going.
"I got 80 minutes under my belt against Wales although we didn't get the result we had wanted after leading late on.
"Now I am fully focus on playing for Birmingham and making sure I can be at my best at Euro 2016."
