Norwich City winger Robbie Brady believes the lessons he learned after joining Manchester United as a youngster have held him in good stead for the remainder of his football career.
Brady signed with the Red Devils in 2011 as a 16-year-old, but never made a first team appearance for the club.
The Republic of Ireland international was twice loaned out to Hull City, before eventually joining the Tigers on a permanent deal in 2013.
23-year-old Brady recently completed a £7million move to Norwich this summer and he believes his time at Old Trafford has prepared him well for life as a professional in the top flight.
"When I first went over (to United) was the biggest club in the world and me coming over from back here, it took me a while to get to grips with what it really took," Brady said.
"In all different types of ways. When you're training day-in, day-out, just the whole football life it would never have been 24 hours. Well, I was thinking about it but I wasn't as intense and I was still in awe when I went over. Maybe it took me a little while to get what it really took.
"I've been watching these players since I was a baby, the best players in the world and then you find yourself in training and eating with them.
"It's a good learning curve and seeing how it was done served me well."
