Norwich signing Johnson excited playing for manager Lambert

Norwich City signing Bradley Johnson is looking forward to playing for manager Paul Lambert.

Lambert has made no secret of his desire to attract 'hungry' recruits this summer ahead of Norwich's top flight bow - and Johnson is keen to prove he is no exception.

"I know a few of the lads at the club already from my time in the lower leagues," he told City's official site. "I know they are as hungry as me and I'm sure that's just one of the reasons why they got back-to-back promotions.

"They proved they were a good team by getting that, and another deciding factor for me was to join a team that enjoys playing football, is hungry and has got that desire to succeed.

"When I spoke to Paul, he just sold the club to me and I just couldn't wait to get down and sign. Paul told me that he likes me as a player and that he knows I've got that hunger and desire. I'm sure he can teach me a lot of things in the position I play, because he played it himself. He just told me to come here and enjoy it."
