Robert Snodgrass is urging Norwich City to give caretaker manager Neil Adams a winning start this weekend.

The 48-year old former Canaries midfielder has stepped up from his role as U18 coach of the Norfolk club to replace the sacked Chris Hughton at the top.

Ahead of his first game in charge against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, Snodgrass has called on the team to do everything they can to give Adams some success in his managerial debut.

"Hopefully we can get the new manager off to a winning start on Saturday," he said.

"He's got Norwich in his blood. He knows exactly what it means to the fans and that's what we should all think about, what it means to this city.

"What it means for this club staying in the Premier League and for us, as players, as well.

"Some of us might never get that chance again to play there (in the Premier League)."
