The 30-year old netted the second goal after he supplied Pilkington with the opener in the Canaries' 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic on Saturday and his performance, after signing a new three-year deal, was praised by his teammate.
"Wes did really well for the first goal," Pilkington told the club's official website.
"He persisted with the tackle and slipped a ball through so I thought it was only right to do the same for him in the second half!
"He's a great player, and probably the best player I've played with. You only have to look at his footwork and how good he is on the ball.
"It's great for the club that he'll be here until 2015, and great for him too."
