Anthony Pilkington was surprised to see news of his Norwich City manager Paul Lambert resigning.
The Scotsman has handed in his letter of resignation to the Carrow Road board and is now expected to take the vacant Aston Villa job adding to Liverpool's imminent appointment of Swansea City's Brendan Rodgers, prompting the Canaries midfielder to post the following on Twitter.
"Just seen the News about the gaffer! I see the manager merry-go-round has gone crazy the last few days," he wrote.
