Norwich City striker Grant Holt has taken some positives from Leon Osman's recent England call-up.
The 31-year old Everton midfielder made his Three Lions debut in the 4-2 friendly loss to Sweden on Wednesday night and now Canaries ace Holt, who has produced some impressive performances against big clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in the past, feels he could also get his chance despite being over 30.
"If you asked John Terry and Rio Ferdinand have they had a tough game when I've played against them, I'm sure they would answer yes," he told The Sun.
"If you're playing well, like Leon Osman is doing, then you should get called up.
"I've scored three in the last six games now. I'm up and running.
"If I keep scoring the goals and knocking on the door and it gets picked on form, then I won't be far off."
