Norwich's Bunn has red card appeal turned down

Norwich City goalkeeper Mark Bunn has had his appeal to overturn his red card rejected.

The Canaries keeper was sent off for handling the ball outside the area in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Sunderland but the club appealed on the grounds that the contact made was not deliberate.

However, the independent regulatory commission rejected the proposal that the ball had inadvertently struck the arm of Bunn and have upheld his one-match ban leaving third-choice Norwich gloveman Lee Camp to step in for the weekend's meeting with fellow relegation battlers Wigan Athletic.
