Norwich prepared for long game over Leeds winger Snodgrass

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton won't give up on landing Leeds United winger Robert Snodgrass.

Leeds confirmed last week they had rejected an initial Norwich offer for the Scotland international.

"As far as I know there haven't been any developments. I can only leave that to the powers that be," Hughton told the Pink 'Un. "Everybody now is aware that we have made a bid for him. Leeds have come out with that with regards to their thoughts and feelings on the matter but, as I say, I can only leave that to the important people at the club.

"With any players you identify and wish to bring to the club you would rather do it sooner than later. In most occasions that is not the case - particularly in this league - and hence if you look at the amount of business the Premier League clubs have done up until now it is not massive and there is no doubt over the next few weeks and certainly the last couple of weeks of the window possibly the bulk of business will be done."
