Norwich City are lining up a bid for Brighton striker Craig Mackail-Smith.

The Mail on Sunday says Norwich manager Chris Hughton will go back for £3m Brighton striker Mackail-Smith after missing out on him in the summer.

Hughton is keen to boost his side's goal tally with Grant Holt having scored only four times this season.

Mackail-Smith, 28, has reached double figures in the Championship.
