Norwich City are lining up a January bid for Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle.

The Daily Mail says Norwich remain interested in Gayle after seeing a deadline day move collapse.

The Canaries were convinced they had secured Gayle's services on September 1 only for Palace to pull the plug on the deal at the last minute.

Alan Pardew was happy for Gayle to join their Premier League rivals; but vetoed the move at the last minute after striker Connor Wickham picked up a calf injury in training on deadline day.
