Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy insists he had nothing to prove to Everton for their 1-1 draw.
Ruddy, 25, spent five years at Everton after being signed as an 18-year-old from Cambridge, but made just one appearance, as a substitute in a Carling Cup tie.
He said: "It was nice to come back and produce a battling performance.
"There was none of having to prove myself, it was just nice to come back and see everyone.
"When you go back people make a deal about it, but I expected a few fans not to even remember me."
