Norwich City have opened talks with Newcastle United over a loan deal for goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

Newcastle loaned City Forster last season and he helped the Canaries win the League One title.

Carrow Road boss Paul Lambert is now hoping Newcastle will loan them Forster again for their Championship campaign.

But he has also discussed taking fellow back-up keeper Tim Krul from St James' Park if Forster is made to stay.
