But the transfer has been put on ice as billionaire Peter Cullen has entered into discussions with majority shareholders Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones to take over the club.
"Their chief executive, Neil Doncaster, said he had been very busy with all the takeover talk and other things and simply hadn't been able to give me an answer," revealed Gow's agent Phil McTaggart.
"It's two weeks now since we went down and it would be nice to get it sorted out. It's up in the air at the moment but, as far as I know, the deal is still on.
"If it wasn't, I believe they would have told me by now," added McTaggart.
