Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson admits he could be playing for the USA.
Former USA coach Bob Bradley was keen to draft him into the country's international squad.
Johnson told the Mirror: "But I couldn't do it because I couldn't get a visa. I qualify through a grandparent. Bob had spoken to me a few times and I would have loved to have done it. I'm just grateful for the recognition.
"Now I want to continue working hard because the path my career has taken has helped me to appreciate football so much more."
