Norwich City legend Kevin Drinkell has backed manager Paul Lambert's transfer policy.
New arrivals like Wales forward Steve Morison, wingers Anthony Pilkington and Elliott Bennett and combative midfielder Bradley Johnson are untested at the top level.
Drinkell, who scored 50 goals for the club in his 80s heyday, told the Daily Star: "I'm not at all disturbed they haven't gone out and bought five players for £10million each, as the current squad has done so well.
"They are a close bunch, they're still developing and the manager has identified players he believes can do well in the top flight.
"Norwich is a family club out in the sticks and there won't be too many disgruntled fans writing in fanzines about why millions haven't been spent on new players.
"At other clubs you might get doom and gloom about why £20m hasn't been spent but Norwich fans will just be pleased they're playing at that level."
