Norwich keeper Ruddy won't have bad word said against Villa boss Lambert

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy won't have a bad word said against Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert.

The Scot left Carrow Road acrimoniously in 2012 for Villa Park.

"I can't thank him enough for giving me the opportunity at Norwich. Without that platform, who knows where I'd be?" says Ruddy.

"I think he's trying to do (at Villa) what he did at Norwich - bring hungry young players through from the lower leagues and develop hungry young Premier League players.

"He did it very well at Norwich. I wish him all the best and I hope he succeeds there... but not on Sunday."
