Norwich keeper Ruddy waiting for Hodgson call

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy hopes to hear from England coach Roy Hodgson this week.

Ruddy made England's Euros squad only to be ruled out on the eve of the tournament after breaking a finger.

"It's always at the back of your mind that you might get an England chance again, " said Ruddy.

"It was a blow to miss out and it was a strange kind of injury. I went to gather a ball during my second training session and it dipped and caught the end of my finger.

"But I'm fit and I would love to be part of the England squad again and, hopefully, that will happen."
