Norwich keeper Ruddy still recovering from Hughton axe

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy is still coming to terms with the sacking of Chris Hughton.

Hughton was told to leave the club after the defeat by West Bromwich Albion at the beginning of April when there were only five games remaining in the season.

"I think it took everyone a bit by surprise," Ruddy told Sky Sports. "But I am sure it is not a decision the board at Norwich took lightly.

"They deliberated over it for a long period of time and ultimately thought it was the best thing to do for the team and for the club so you cannot really question them on that.

"We have got the new manager in now and he has come in and had a positive impact so it is looking positive for the next four games."
