Norwich City keeper John Ruddy will be allowed to miss England's second Euro 2012 warm-up international against Belgium - so he can get married, reports The Guardian. Ruddy has been named as one of three stoppers, along with Manchester City's Joe Hart and West Ham's Robert Green, in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad for Euro 2012.

The 25-year-old will link up with the England squad for their preparation matches away against Norway on 26 May and Belgium on 2 June at Wembley.

"When he was told [of his call-up] he offered to postpone the wedding but I said not to do that," Hodgson said. "I think it's a bit dangerous to cancel weddings at the last moment.

"This is a football match, it's not the end of the world. I suggested we deal with the Belgium game with Joe Hart and Rob Green and we'll welcome him back on the plane when we go to Poland."

Ruddy told Norwich's website: "I'm absolutely delighted and so grateful to the Football Association for agreeing to let me go ahead and get married. It would have been a nightmare after one and a half years of planning to have to postpone the wedding so it's a major relief that we can still go ahead."
