Norwich keeper Ruddy hopes to hear from England coach Hodgson

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy hopes to get the call from new England coach Roy Hodgson.

There's a growing clamour for Ruddy to earn an England cap.

"You don't know how much revamping is done under the new coach," Ruddy said after putting in another eye-catching display against Arsenal on Saturday.

"Maybe not so much now. Roy may stay with the tried and tested for the Euros and then mix it up for the World Cup qualifiers. But I played well at West Brom this season!

"If it happens I'll be over the moon but if it doesn't, I have a wedding to fall back on.

"I am getting married on 2nd June. In terms of a call-up, we would have to cross that bridge when we came to it. My missus is happy either way."
