Norwich keeper Ruddy doing his bit for British war vets - all season

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy - and his defence - are doing their bit for British war veterans.

Ruddy's clean sheet against Chelsea obviously benefited his team but will also be a help to Help The Heroes, who he is donating his bonus too.

"My glove sponsors give me a £200 bonus for every clean sheet, which goes straight to Help The Heroes.

"I've got a military background in my family. My dad was in the army and my granddad was in the RAF and so were my uncles and my cousin's just come out of the RAF. My best friend is in the Army and I'm fortunate to be in a position to be able to help.

"My best friend is Corporal Phil Wright, he's in England but he's going back out in March to Afghanistan. So he's going to miss my stag do in May."
