Norwich keeper Jed Steer proud of Cup heroics

Norwich City goalkeeper Jed Steer was proud of his FA Cup heroics against West Bromwich Albion.

The newcomer's brilliant saves at West Brom announced another Norwich keeping find in the tradition of Chris Woods, Bryan Gunn and Robert Green.

The England Under-19 international said: "Norfolk people are nutters, that must be it! I've dreamed about making my Norwich debut for years and it was everything I had hoped for and more.

"I've had a Norwich season ticket since I was five. But my hero has always been Van der Sar. He kicked really well and was technically brilliant. Hopefully I can last as long as him!"

Delighted boss Paul Lambert said: "Jed is only a baby, yet here I felt his performance was world class."
